Make music with us in the Royal Academic Orchestra

Are you curious about Uppsala University ́s own symphony orchestra and want to apply?  At the beginning of each term you have the opportunity to make an audition in order to become a member of The Royal Academic Orchestra. If you succeed, the orchestra will give you the possibility to play chamber music, go on tours abroad, to get individual lessons on your instrument and maybe even the chance to be a soloist with the orchestra.

To be a member in the Royal Academic Orchestra you need to fill in the following form of interest. Shortly after you will be contacted by the staff at Musicum for further information. To the audition you should have prepared a short piece of music to perform (without accompanying music). You will also get a short a-vista test. 

The audition period are being shown below (N.B, you must be assigned to an audition appointment by the staff at Musicum). Other time of the year you are also welcome to fill in the form of interest, but auditions are only taken place in exceptional case, depending on need in the orchestra.

The auditions for the autumn 2023 are 30th of August and 5th and 6th of September, welcome to apply in the form below. (You will recieve an e-mail with the exact time for the audition in the end of August due to vacations.)
