The Social Club

Social get-togethers are very important for the orchestra! We really want the orchestra members not only to play good togehter, we also want that we should get to know each other and be a part of a warm community - having fun also makes us play good! The orchestra's Social Club (Kamratföreningen) serves this purpose, and all orchestra members are automatically members of the club. The Social Club arranges a number of parties each semester, with occasional pubevenings upstairs at Musicum after rehearsals. They also arrange a coffee list to ensure that there is coffee and something tasty to enjoy during rehearsals. The club is always involved in the organization of the orchestra tours, helping out with arranging and financing for example dinners och excursions during the trips. Club members are encouraged to take initiatives for social activities for the orchestra. The Social Club has a board that is elected at the club annual meetings.
