Arne Stenlund

Arne Stenlund studied viola from 1976 to 1981 at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm under Professor Bertil Appelbom. He then studied with chamber music teachers Otto Kyndel and Kurt Lewin in 1981 and 1982. After a few years as principal violist with the Gävelborg Symphony Orchestra, Arne Stenlund came to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 1985.

Arne has been a member of the Stockholm Sinfonietta for many years, as well as a member of the Stockholm Strauss Orchestra since its inception in 1992. He has also been active as a chamber musician, as a member of the Sergel Quartet and the Meng Quartet.
