Auditions, spring 2013
The orchestra rehearses on Wednesdays, and on Tuesdays there are rehearsals for each individual section with recurring musicians from orchestras such as the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Kungliga Akademiska kapellet also offers scholarships for individual private lessons and the possibility to join the orchestra on tours abroad.
This spring the orchestra will play a anime-movie film score concert and The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky.

Welcome to the website of Kungliga Akademiska kapellet (Royal Academic Orchestra).
Kungliga Akademiska kapellet is Uppsala University's symphony orchestra. We play at academic ceremonies and give our own concerts. This 385-year-old orchestra is conducted by Stefan Karpe, Director Musices and Professor in Orchestral Conducting.
